Use Cases
Use the mass copy in lens to action your vector data. Some use cases include:
- Import the buildings from the 3D Buildings layer
- Import parcels for comps from a parcel or cadastral layer
- Import areas of wetlands coverage on a large site
- Import points of interest to allow styling with Markers (How to Use Annotations)
- Copy polygons from a shapefile or vector data set
This workflow does not apply to:
- Importing or uploading 3D models authored in other software. Review Upload 3D models to learn how to use GLTF files in your project.
Open Lens
To open the Lens (Data Table) controls:

Click the 3 dots to the right of the layer name. Select “Open Lens Controls”

The lens table appears at the bottom

Define Boundary
The limit of features to be copied at one time is 100. Define a boundary to limit the number of features.
- Click “Filter.” Select “Geometry.”
- Click “Draw boundary”
Draw around the are you want to include.
Click Done
- Select include to show only the buildings within the boundary
