Categories
Categories organize data both visually and schematically. The categories you choose will display in Tabs and allow you to sort and filter your measures.
Categories can be Anything! Organise how it makes sense for your project or your firm. Some category suggestions could be:

Costs
- Hard Costs
- Soft Costs
- Financing
- Fees

Income
- NOI, IRR
- Net Rents, Gross Sale Price
- Vacancy Factors

Urban Form
- Parking
- Canopy Cover
- FAR, GBA, NRA

Built Form
- Building, hardscape, and/or landscape areas
- Count of Dwellings, Buildings, and Features
- Efficiency rates

Impact
- Jobs Created
- Tax income
- Social Spend
- Residents/Dwelling

Category Editor
Open the category editor in Configure> Categories OR by clicking the Category name in the palette
Basic Settings
- Selected category: select which category you want to edit
- Clear: clear the selection
- Delete: delete the category from the project. Measures will be orphaned but not deleted.
- Save changes
- New category
- Label Text: The name of the Category, as it will appear in reports and throughout the editor
- Appears in Tabs : Select which tabs you want these categories to display in. Each category can display in multiple tabs, so you do not need to duplicated measures
- Color: Pick a color to display for this category. The color displays as a dot next to the category in reports and can also control the color of charts in Widgets
- Subcategorise by Usage: Toggle on/off to display items in this category is sub-groups by the Usages by default
