Once you’ve completed your project in Giraffe, you may need to share it with stakeholders outside the software. We get it; some folks are old-school and prefer a PDF. Don’t worry - we have you covered.

Export High Resolution Image

To export high-resolution images as png or PDF format, follow these steps:

Adjust the map for your preferences

You can use Views to pre-set your map visuals, or you can adjust on the fly.

Export the View

Navigate to the Image export tool ☰ → Export project → Image / PDF

Select whether you want to export a 2D or 3D view with the toggle.

<aside> 💡 Note: 2D maps can be exported at a specific scale. 3D maps cannot as 3D perspectives are not scaled.

Your Options for 2D vs 3D Images will differ:

Option to export a high-resolution image only

2D

Select page Size

Select Page orientation (portrait or landscape)

Adjust the scale (meters/cm)

Set the resolution

Select whether to create an image or PDF:

A message will display depending on the size of the image. if the resultant image is too large, some computers may not be able to process it.
