The grid is a customizable overlay that assists with snapping and accuracy. The grid can be orthographic to cardinal directions, or at any angle. You can even align your project top view to the grid, which is especially useful for angled sites.

Toggle Grid

Click “More Tools” […] menu in draw tools

Tap the spacebar:

Select Toggle Grid to turn the grid on or off.

Edit Grid

Update the size of the grid using this tool.

Click to set the grid origin

Type a distance to set the grid size

Click again to set the grid direction

Align Top View to Grid (Project North)

You’ll find this feature especially useful for angled sites! This effectively allows you to set a “Project North.”

Set your top view to be aligned to your project grid instead of cardinal directions.

Toggle “Align 2D view to grid.”
