Use subdivide lots to divide a larger polygon into smaller parcels or lots by specifying the target frontage or area. Add building envelopes to the created lots.
Subdivide is a complex transform. It is typically used for creating subdivisions and townhomes.

How to
- Draw a Rectangle or Polygon, or feed in a polygon output from another node
- Add the subdivide lots node and subdivide lots transform
- Click “edit defaults” to set the starting values
- You can also feed in a Line to the Spine connector (S) to define the manual spine

Subdivide Lots settings
- Solve for Frontage or Area
- Frontage: solves for a target length of the front of the parcel
- Area: Solves for a target area of the parcel (not the envelope)
- Toggle splitting on the spine (divide down the center)
- Flip the direction the algorithm solves from
- Solve spine automatically or manually edit
- Automatic divides the shape evenly down the horizontal center
- Manual allows you to edit the start and end point of the spine, and add corners.
- Targets
- Set inner and end area targets: The algorithm will target these areas with a margin of error, and lots may be slightly larger or smaller
- Set inner and end frontages: The algorithm wall target these areas with a margin of error, and lots may be slightly larger or smaller
- Absolute Minimums
- Prevent the algorithm from creating lots smaller than a size you select
- Set minimum areas and frontages
- Envelopes
- Toggle generation of building envelopes
- Adjust setbacks for front, rear, and sides

The outputs of subdivide are site and envelopes.
The site output is the outline of each parcel in an array.
The envelope output applies the setbacks to output an array of smaller outlines.
Inner versus End
The inner versus end frontage or area options allow differently sized lots within the same solve.
The spine location controls inner versus end lots. Move the spine end node away from the outer edge of the polygon to add end condition lots.
