Analytics Reports

  1. Configure (see below)
  2. Areas by layer: breakdown of usages on each layer by GFA or GBA
  3. Tabs : Switch between tabs or add new ones. Tabs contain categories and measures.
  4. Categories : The heading for the group of Measures. Click the category name to edit the category settings like color, tabs, and displays (charts and widgets)
  5. The Plus adds a new measure to the category. It opens the Measure Editor
  6. Toggle “split by usage” to see a report of each usage’s total within each measure
  7. Click and drag to rearrange the categories on the tab
  8. Collapse or expand the category in the tab
  9. Measures within each category display the measure name, units, and calculated value. Click the measure name to edit. Click the calculated value to inspect.
  10. Widgets are category displays, like pie and bar charts. Add a display to a category in its settings.

Analytics Grouping

Analytics reports a roll up of the entire project by default. Sub-divide the totals by any property within the project. Popular ways to split include Layer, Layer Group, or Usage.

This grouping also changes the area type chart grouping

Adjust the Analytics Settings in Configure menu to hide any unwanted groups.

Click “Configure” to open the Analytics Editor.

  1. Select which element to edit
    1. Measures
    2. Categories
    3. Tabs
    4. Usages - view a table of all the usages in your project, and edit their property values
    5. Units

  3. New item (for current view)
  4. List of items in the current section
  5. Analytics Settings - Import, Export, and Settings

Analytics Measure Builder

Open the measure builder from the analytics window or configurator.

The measure builder opens when you click “new measure”

Information

a. Category - Select from Categories in your project. This is where the measure will display in Tabs

b. Name - The display name of the measure

c. Unit - Select from Units in your project, or create a new one. The units display in Tabs

d. Precision - the number of decimal places to display / round to

e. Details - Give your measure a description. This helps other project editors understand what the measure is for

f. Tags - add tags to group measures

g. Filter: Filter by any property values within the project to only include specific features in the measure

i. Components - The components are the inputs for your Formulas

l. per feature - inspect how the formula operates on each feature

m. result - the total or the result for the first drawing layer (if split by layer)

n. unused components - any unused components will throw an error. remove them from the measure if unnecessary

p. errors - If the result is an error or you cannot save, review errors here

q. quantity and rate - setQuantity/Rate here for export
